Musical Arts Society of Lancaster

Founded in 1916, the Musical Art Society of Lancaster is a performing and service musical organization comprised of professional and non-professional musicians.

History: Since 1920, the Society has been affiliated with the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC), the world’s largest musical organization.

Events: The Society sponsors:

* Workshop for Young Performing Artists
* Elizabethtown College Music Camp
* Lancaster County Youth Symphony
* Lancaster County Junior Orchestra
* Prelude Strings
* Many scholarships for young musicians.

Membership: The Society welcomes performing musicians as well as those who appreciate good music. Membership is obtained through one sponsor and approval of the Executive Board.

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania is located in central Lancaster County about 70 miles west of Philadelphia.

Meetings: Meetings are open to the public and held on the 2nd Sunday in Nov., Dec., March and April plus an annual banquet on the 1st Saturday in May. Also, there is a summer concert series each Tuesday evening in June.
